| Topic: CNC router dust collection | | Question | | If we are using Sign Foam with a CNC router, is dust collection required? i.e. does it enter the air in the form of small particles? Is it toxic? If there is 'dust' in the air from removed material, can it burn or explode? How should I be thinking about this? | | Answer | We suggest that you do use some form of dust collection system, however this is more for clean up then safety. To answer your questions directly, Sign•Foam is NON-TOXIC and perfectly inert. There are no health risks associated with the proper use of Sign•Foam whatsoever. That being said, the dust is rather abrasive and as with any household dust you would want to avoid breathing it in or getting it in your eyes, so please take proper precautions. Second, under normal shop conditions Sign•Foam router dust will not burn or explode.
