| Topic: Brackets | | Question | We are manufacturing some sandblasted signfoam signs for a customer and he wants us to supply him with brackets to mount his signs to a 4" round post. The signs will be center mounted and he isn't very particular on how it looks, just ease of installation. Do you have any ideas or references on where i can find something like that. We are fully capable of manufacturing the brackets here too, so ideas would help as well.
| | Answer | I think that you are going to be better off fabricating your own brackets. Something as simple as a 3 to 4 wide band, bent around the post, drilled out for attachment. Make sure the flanges come far enough away from the center to give proper support. Attach the bracket (s) to the post first with lag screws and then attach the sign to the bracket with a combination of hardware and adhesive.
