| Topic: Recommend thicknesses of Sign•Foam | | Question | Do you recommend certain thicknesses of Sign•Foam for certain sizes of signs? If so, would you happen to have a chart that shows which thickness is best used for which sizes?
| | Answer | We have never made any specific recommendations based on a thickness/size criteria. Mostly because our recommendations would be based on structure as opposed to design. Because Sign•Foam has a tremendous strength to weight ratio, generally speaking the “design” thickness will almost always be greater than the “structural” thickness. In other words if the thickness of the sign looks good from a design standpoint, then you won’t have a worry from a structural standpoint.
